Festival identity for the Strasbourg-based music festival "Longevity"

The central theme of this year's work revolved around the concept of ten years, symbolized by the Roman numeral X. Having worked on last year's edition, we approached this project with a clear vision of what we wanted to improve. We envisioned Longevity as a world that, for a decade, has brought people together to celebrate a love for music. To capture this essence, we explored various "worlds" and how they all contribute to the universe of Longevity.

The central theme of this year's work revolved around the concept of ten years, symbolized by the Roman numeral X. Having worked on last year's edition, we approached this project with a clear vision of what we wanted to improve. We envisioned Longevity as a world that, for a decade, has brought people together to celebrate a love for music. To capture this essence, we explored various "worlds" and how they all contribute to the universe of Longevity.
From the dedicated team working year-round to bring together the best talent, to the DJs who come to bring joy to the audience, every detail matters. When we realized this would not only be the tenth but also the final edition, we began reflecting on the legacy of Longevity. We drew inspiration from ideas like the Voyager space mission, which sent a golden record into space containing images, sounds, and stories of humanity and our planet. We depicted the roman numeral "X" as a monolith, like a relic of an ancient civilisation.

For the festival’s visual language, we were inspired by the interface design of the music players from our youth, particularly iPods. There was something very tangible about the "carousel" of album covers you would scroll through by turning your finger around the wheel. Building on this concept, we expanded it into a visual interface language, creating visual cohesion for the different elements that would be used throughout the festival.
