Process as Design
Previous show branding focused heavily on graphic design alone. We expanded the visual language to include film, photography, and physical print artifacts. Textures were documented directly from LCC’s facilities—screen prints, litho misprints, film strips, and pixel glitches—and transformed into backgrounds, stock papers, and animated visuals.
DIY & Cost-Effective Approach
Working within a limited budget, the system was designed to be accessible and adaptable:
A website where students could generate their own promotional materials within the show identity
Pre-printed A4 and A3 stock papers featuring textured backgrounds, allowing students to layer their own content
A layered modular system, where each show builds visually on the previous one—reducing waste, setup time, and production costs
